Based on these results the process of fertilization can be adjusted.

Microbiological status of water

Our laboratory has the possibility for fast determination of plant pathogens in water. We have developed several methods of analysis for the determination of pathogens based on DNA identification. One of them is verifying DNA. These methods based on DNA -verification make sure that harmful pathogens can be detected in a fast and reliable manner.  

Besides determination of pathogens in water samples, we also perform the water analyses needed for food safety certificates such as Global GAP. E.coli is used by Global GAP as an indicator for the overall quality of the water. Groen Agro Control has extended its accreditation with the following services: 

  • Accredited sampling of water, which could be a requirement for some food safety certificates
  • Analysis of E. coli per 100 ml water by means of the MPN-method (Most Probable Number), in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 9308-1. This method reports in MPN/100 ml and applies to water with a high background contamination.
  • Analysis of E. coli per 100 ml water by means of the Filtration-method, in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 9308-1. This method reports in CFU/100 ml and applies for water with a low background contamination, such as tap water.
